To add on, France helped the now known as the United States become a country. There was one requirement, win a battle. We won a battle called the Battle of Saratoga which was taken place in New York and is considered a turning point in history. Is there information about France that you know of?
I learned a substantial amount of ideas about you but there is still many questions that I want hopefully answered in your next letter. If any, what projects or something creative you are doing at school right now? Do you go to any field trips? Have you ever collaborated with any other classes besides us and do you like to play any sport? I hope we can be successful and learn many concepts in the near future.

Now, in school I’m learning about hurricanes, the American Revolution and what led to this tragedy. In math we are learning how to multiply and round decimals. What about you, what are you learning about? We’re doing the hurricane work for understanding of course, but Mr.Miller did plan to do a mission with The Challenger Learning Center. This is a simulation where we have to track hurricanes, but from lack of effort and commitment we lost the opportunity.
How is your environment where you live? The environment here at New York is great. Like for example, there is pollution here, but not as much as some countries. Where I live is not as dusty as some countries. For example, no mud or sand sitting around. The cities are very loud and busy but towns are quiet and not full of people. We have local parks in our town, but we have big parks as well, which have pools and walking areas. We raise trout in our classroom, where we release to a place called Shu Swamp. We release trout there at the beginning of June, which will help our environment.
I have many expectations, do you? My expectations for this collaboration are, I want to know where do you live, and what type of animals are around you. I also want to know more about your classroom and the way of living in France. I hope you and I learn more about each other.
