Dear Journal,
The cold winter breeze on a Thursday evening. Today is my second day in the United States and I’m being taken home by a girl named Lily from Mr.Miller’s class. Lily, is always happy and hoer house felt like home. She even made me my own bed! That night I came I came to Girl Scouts with her and I was a little nervous but at the end I made new friends. We played with a squishy in the car on our way to M.Y.O. (Metropolitan Youth Orchestra) for singing. We sang together and I met other friends of Lily. It was the time we arrived home when it was perfect to look at the night sky. Lily said there’s constellations such as the little dipper. We went inside and brushed our teeth so we could get some rest. The next morning we prepared for school early so we could play and it felt like it would last forever but it didn’t. My time with Lily ended as soon as we stepped into the classroom and I was placed down on her desk. In doing that, I wondered “what will my next journey be like?”

La brise froide de l’hiver un jeudi soir. Aujourd’hui est mon deuxième jour aux États-Unis et je suis ramené à la maison par une fille nommée Lily de la classe de M. Miller. Lily est toujours heureuse et hoer house se sent comme à la maison. Elle m’a même fait mon propre lit! Cette nuit-là je suis venu, je suis venu chez les Girl Scouts avec elle et j’étais un peu nerveuse mais à la fin je me suis fait de nouveaux amis. Nous avons joué avec un spongieux dans la voiture sur le chemin de MYO (Metropolitan Youth Orchestra) pour chanter. Nous avons chanté ensemble et j’ai rencontré d’autres amis de Lily. C’était l’heure où nous sommes arrivés à la maison quand c’était parfait pour regarder le ciel nocturne. Lily a dit qu’il y a des constellations comme le petit balancier. Nous sommes allés à l’intérieur et nous nous sommes brossé les dents pour pouvoir nous reposer. Le lendemain matin, nous nous sommes préparés pour l’école tôt afin que nous puissions jouer et il semblait que cela durerait pour toujours, mais il n’a pas fait. Mon temps avec Lily s’est terminé dès que nous sommes entrés dans la salle de classe et j’ai été déposée sur son bureau. En faisant cela, je me suis demandé “à quoi ressemblera mon prochain voyage?”

This weekend was like hitting a ball out of the park. This week wasn’t really exciting so I went home with Hope. As soon as we arrived at here house, we started to pack. After her Aunt picked us up, we spent two hours in the car but when we arrived it was worth it. We were at the “Metlife Stadium,” to see the “Yankees.” ( We stayed until the top of the 8th inning. ) After that, we spent two hours in the car before we arrived at her Aunt’s house the sleep-over. In the morning, we helped with yard work and watched “D.C Legends of Tomorrow.” That night we went to “Ristega’s” for her Grandma’s 50th anniversary. This was the end of our adventure but I know there will be more.

Ce weekend était comme frapper une balle hors du parc. Cette semaine n’a pas été vraiment excitant alors je suis allémaison avec espoir. Dès que nous sommes arrivés àmaison ici, nous avons commencé à emballer. Après sa tantevenue nous chercher, nous avons passé deux heures dans la voituremais quand nous sommes arrivésil en valaitpeine. Nous étions au « MetLife Stadium, » pour voir les « Yankees ». (Nousrestés jusqu’au sommet de la 8e manche). Après cela, nous avons passé deux heures dans la voiture avantnous sommes arrivés à la maison de sa tante le sommeil plus. Le matin, nous avons aidé à travaillerla cour et regardé « DC Legends of Tomorrow. » Cette nuit nous sommes allés pour50e anniversaire de sa grandmère « de Ristega ». Ce fut la fin de notre aventuremais je sais qu’il y aura plus.

This week, I’ve mostly been hanging out in my favorite spot in the classroom. So, this weekend I decided to go somewhere with Hope. When we arrived home on Friday, we want to Scouts which was really fun. On Saturday, we want to “Michaels” where we made potts and paintings.
(“Michaels” is one of the major craft stores in “Medford” and has a ton of art supplies.) We then went to “D.Q.” for the first time. (There ice-cream was amazing.) The next day, we watched all of the “Transformer movies.” These were cool because they took place at places in the “U.S.” For example, the third movie has some scenes that take place at the “Lincoln Memorial” in “Washington D.C.” and the “Trump Tower” in “Chicago.” This makes it easier to learn about places in the “U.S.” without having to drive all the way there. All of these experiences are just one step in my journey. These past months have been the most educational.

Cette semaine, jeai surtout été traîner dans mon endroit préféré dans la salleclasse. Alors, ce weekendj’ai décidé d’aller quelque part avec espoir. Quand nous sommes arrivésmaison le vendredi, nous voulons Scouts qui était vraiment amusant. Le samedi, nous voulons « Michaels » où nous avons fait potts et peintures.
( « Michaels » estun des principaux magasins d’artisanat dans « Medford » et a une tonne de fournitures d’art.) Ensuitenousallés à « DQ » pour la première fois. (Ilcrème glacée était incroyable.) Le lendemain, nous avons regardé tous les « films Transformer. » Ce sont cool parce qu’ils ont eu lieu àendroits dans le « US » Par exemple, le troisième film a des scènes qui ont lieu à le « Lincoln Memorial » dans « Washington DC » et la « Trump Tower » dans « Chicago ». Cela rend plus facile d’apprendre surlieux dans la « US » sans avoir à conduire tout le chemin. Toutes ces expériences sontqu’à une étape de mon voyage. Ces derniers mois ont été les plus éducatifs.

Multiple states make up a Country! During Spring break, I visited one of the states that make up the United States of America. The state I went to was Virginia! I specifically went to Virginia Beach. I noticed that it was much warmer there then it is on Long Island. We were in the car for seven and a half hours. Once we arrived, we waited for a room at the hotel. However, in the meantime, we went for a bike ride to the end of the boardwalk. The beach was very interesting because the waves had a pull to them like a current. I was wondering what created the pull? Then we walked to the shops on the street. While we were walking I noticed there was a lot less garbage on the ground. That was a very good sight because the people in Virginia aren’t creating pollution. On Long Island there is more garbage on the ground. However, thankfully Mr.Miller’s class are stewards and try to help the environment.
I was very excited to explore the diverse land on the second day. That day we went for three bike rides and a few walks, then Emma and her sister were playing in the 40 degrees Fahrenheit pool outside in the rain. One idea I want to point out is that in France we use Celsius to measure temperature. However, in America they use Fahrenheit to measure temperature. Now, I have more knowledge about temperature in America.
Since yesterday was very interesting, I was extremely happy to have a chance to keep exploring Virginia Beach. We started the day by going to breakfast at the hotel. As soon as we had more nutrients, we were ready to take on any challenges. Our first activity was a walk to a park. It was similar to a fitness park where you could climb ropes do pull ups and more. Then we kept walking and came across a place where trainers were teaching people how to ride horses. When we were back at the hotel, Emma went swimming in an indoor pool. It was a lazy river that had rock sculptures to make the pool to look like a river. The rocks reminded me of a book I read about rock sculptures and landforms. Then, we were all tired so we went to a barbeque place called Jake’s Barbeque. The ribs I ate were amazing! Now I know, more about what people eat in America.
When I first arrived at Virginia I immediately noticed that it is a very diverse state.It is very unfortunate that we have to leave. However, I will be happy to go back to school and continue to build my knowledge. Also, this trip has taught me a lot more about the states that are in the United States. I look forward to writing to you about all of my other adventures.

Plusieurs états forment un pays! Pendant les vacances de printemps, j’ai visité l’un des États qui composent les États-Unis d’Amérique. L’état où je suis allé était Virginia! Je suis allé spécifiquement à Virginia Beach. J’ai remarqué qu’il faisait beaucoup plus chaud là-bas alors c’est sur Long Island. Nous étions dans la voiture pendant sept heures et demie. Une fois arrivés, nous avons attendu une chambre à l’hôtel. Cependant, en attendant, nous sommes allés faire un tour en vélo jusqu’au bout de la promenade. La plage était très intéressante car les vagues les attiraient comme un courant. Je me demandais ce qui a créé la traction? Ensuite, nous avons marché jusqu’aux magasins dans la rue. Pendant que nous marchions, j’ai remarqué qu’il y avait beaucoup moins de déchets sur le sol. C’était une très bonne vue parce que les gens en Virginie ne créent pas de pollution. Sur Long Island, il y a plus de déchets sur le sol. Cependant, heureusement, les élèves de M.Miller sont des intendants et essaient d’aider l’environnement.
J’étais très excité d’explorer la terre diversifiée le deuxième jour. Ce jour-là nous sommes allés faire trois balades à vélo et quelques promenades, puis Emma et sa soeur jouaient dans la piscine de 40 degrés Fahrenheit dehors sous la pluie. Une idée que je veux souligner est qu’en France, nous utilisons Celsius pour mesurer la température. Cependant, en Amérique, ils utilisent Fahrenheit pour mesurer la température. Maintenant, j’ai plus de connaissances sur la température en Amérique.
Depuis hier était très intéressant, j’étais extrêmement heureux d’avoir une chance de continuer à explorer Virginia Beach. Nous avons commencé la journée en allant déjeuner à l’hôtel. Dès que nous avions plus de nutriments, nous étions prêts à relever tous les défis. Notre première activité était une promenade dans un parc. C’était semblable à un parc de remise en forme où vous pourriez grimper des cordes faire des tractions et plus. Puis nous avons continué à marcher et sommes tombés sur un endroit où les formateurs apprenaient aux gens à monter à cheval. Quand nous étions de retour à l’hôtel, Emma est allée nager dans une piscine intérieure. C’était une rivière paresseuse qui avait des sculptures de roche pour faire de la piscine à ressembler à une rivière. Les roches m’ont rappelé un livre que j’ai lu sur les sculptures de roche et les reliefs. Ensuite, nous étions tous fatigués, alors nous sommes allés à un barbecue appelé Jake’s Barbeque. Les côtes que j’ai mangé étaient incroyables! Maintenant, je sais, plus sur ce que les gens mangent en Amérique.
Quand je suis arrivé à Virginia, j’ai immédiatement remarqué que c’était un état très diversifié. Il est très regrettable que nous devions partir. Cependant, je serai heureux de retourner à l’école et de continuer à développer mes connaissances. En outre, ce voyage m’a appris beaucoup plus sur les États qui sont aux États-Unis. J’ai hâte de vous écrire à propos de toutes mes autres aventures.

Dear Journal,
Have you ever gone to a new continent only knowing a few people and that there are some awesome adventures you’re going on? I have. This is why I write these adventures in my journal, to teach you about the events that helped me learn more about the U.S. On my next adventure, I went home with Hope again for “Winter Break.” When we arrived at her house, we played “Bayblades” and “Pokemon Go” before we had ham for dinner. We then went to scouts and afterwards picked up doughnuts. The more fun we had the better my stay became.
On this adventure we went to multiple different places. The next day, I helped her pack because we were going to her dad’s house. After we were dropped off there, we played with her drone before we watched the “Nascar Race” with her brother. Afterward, we ate at “Moes” and played “H.Q” before bed. The night was as fun as the day.
Sadly, we didn’t really do anything for two days, but on Wednesday we went to pick up her Grandma (at the airport) and drop off games. We also went to “Dave and Busters” where we played “Spiderman Homecoming.” Later that night, we picked up dinner and packed for her sisters’ house. When we arrived at her sisters’ house, we watched “Transformers: The Last Knight” and made cookies. We then went to see “Black Panther” on Thursday and “Jumanji” that night. This might have been the only adventures we had but it was still fun.

Avezvous déjà allé à un nouveau continent ne sachant quelques personnes et qu’il ya des aventures incroyables que vous allez sur? J’ai. Voilà pourquoi jeécris ces aventures dans mon journal, pour vous apprendre sur les événements qui m’a aidéapprendre plus sur les EtatsUnis sur ma prochaine aventure, je suis rentré chezavec espoir nouveau pour «vacanceshiver. » Quand nous sommes arrivés chez elle, nous joué « Bayblades » et « Pokemon Go » avantnous ayonsjambon pourdîner. Nous sommes ensuite allés aux scouts etchoisi après des beignets. Le plus amusantnous avons eu le meilleurmon séjour est devenu.
Dans cette aventurenous sommes allés à plusieurs endroits différents. Le lendemain, jeai aidée paquet parce que nous allions à la maison de son père. Après avoir été déposés làbas, nous avons joué avec son drone avant regardé la « Nascar Race » avec son frère.suite, nous avons mangé au « Moes » et joué « HQ » avantcoucher. La nuit était aussi amusant que le jour.
Malheureusement, nous neavons pas vraiment faire quoice soit pendant deux jours, mais le mercredinousallés chercher sa grandmère (à l’aéroport) et décroissent jeux. Nous sommes aussi allés « Dave et Busters » où nous avons joué « Spiderman Homecoming. » Plus tard ce soirlà, nous avons prisdîner et emballé pour la maison de ses sœurs. Quand nous sommes arrivés à la maison desœurs, nous avons regardé « Transformers: Le dernier chevalier » et biscuits faits. Nous sommes ensuite allés voir « Black Panther » jeudi et « Jumanji » ce soirlà. Cela aurait pu être les seules aventuresnous avionsmais il était toujours amusant.

Dear Journal,
The effect was amazing. To go along with my previous travel with Issac, I went to a concert at 6 p.m. where they played the music from the rehearsal. This happened at a bigger school than Barton, called The Patchogue-Medford High School. They played with people from that school and other schools to make beautiful music. Then his family went to celebrate Issac’s and his sister’s performance. It a truly amazing night. Before that, when Issac was doing his homework he proved that he became better at French. Now he knows la, le, l’, fille, femme, garçon, homme, pomme, orange, je, suis, tu, es, enfant, un, une, a, rouge, robe chat, riche, il, and elle. In addition, he showed a great amount of knowledge in terms of his country, he knew all his states, capitals, and presidents. In conclusion, my journey gets better and better everyday, so I can’t wait to go, and write about my next adventure.

L’effet était incroyable. Pour allerpair avec mon précédent Voyage avec Issac, je suis allé à un concert à 18 heures où ils ont joué la musique de la répétition. Celaarrivé à une école plus grande que Barton, appelé Patchogue-Medford High School. Ils ont joué avecgens de cette école etautres écoles pour fairebelle musique. The adventure is only how you make it. On my next adventure, I went home with a student named Hope for the weekend. During my experience on Saturday, we went to “Dave and Busters” where we played some cool video games. After that, we went to her brother’s “Pinewood Derby Race.” It was fun watching the cars zoom down the ramp. Sadly, we had to go home but I was happy for what the next day would bring. On Sunday before we were supposed to leave for Friendly’s, we had a dance party and watched “Transformers Prime.” After that, we left to go to Friendly’s for her brother’s birthday. It was really fun. When we arrived back at her house, we watched the Super Bowl. I was really sad to leave but it’s time for my next adventure.

Dear Diary,
Hearing music, what a great way to end a day. In the time period I had with a student in Mr.Miller class, I saw a orchestra practicing their music. It was nice to hear the diverse music, one rough, another bouncy, and lastly a mix of the two feelings. I was able to sit next to a cello player, Issac, who brought me home. About three hours before I had that opportunity, he took me to an after school activity, called Peer Leadership, where I started to feel more positive, welcomed, and happy being surrounded by people who promote those three things. When we went home, I read with Issac what the jobs of the three branches in America’s government do. Afterwards, Issac showed me some vocabulary words that he was studying, they were pretty complex. The next day, Issac demonstrated his french vocabulary, he only new some basics, such as, la, le, l’, fille, femme, garçon, homme, pomme, orange, je, suis, tu, es, enfant, un, and une. Having these experiences made me see more clearly how the students here live on Long Island.

Dear Diary,
écoutermusique, quelle belle façon de terminer une journée. Pendant la période de tempsj’avais avec un étudiant en classe Mr.Miller, j’ai vu un orchestre pratiquer leur musique. Il était agréable d’entendre la musique diversifiée, rude, un autre pleinentrain, et enfin un mélange des deux sentiments. J’ai pu asseoircôté d’un joueur de violoncelle, Issac, qui m’a ramenémaison. Environ trois heures avantavoir eu cette occasion, il m’a emmené à une activité parascolaire, appelée leadership par les pairs, où je commençais à me sentir plus positive,accueilli, et heureuxêtre entouré pargens quipromotionces trois choses. Quand nous sommes allésmaison, je lis avec Issac ce que les emplois des trois branches font dans le gouvernement américain. suite, Issac m’a montré quelques mots de vocabulaire qu’il étudiait, ils étaient assez complexes. With Lilly, it was a cloudy day but we had so much fun by singing and dancing. For dinner, we had salami and cheese and they actually taste really good together. Some of my favorite things are the song “There’s Nothing Holding Me Back” by Shawn Mendes, going to church, and the sunset. Going into the weekend, we tried lots of clothes until we found the perfect outfit for me. Now I feel like I am fitting in as a Patchogue-Medford student. I really loved being with Lilly for the weekend.

Today, Emma took me to explore the diverse land of Long Island for the first time. However, before we left school, we had a interesting time at a club called Math Olympiad, where we did very difficult math! When we went home, her dogs greeted us at the door. We worked for a little while and we read an interesting document about the United States’ first government. After what seemed like forever, we finally went to go play in her backyard. While we were outside, we played in her trampoline. It was very cold outside, so I asked what the temperature was, and she used the word fahrenheit at the end. Did you know, that in America they use fahrenheit to measure their temperature? When we went back inside, I met one of her friends,it was a stuffed bunny. In conclusion, my first time exploring Long Island was very memorable.

Aujourd’hui, Emma m’a emmené explorer pour la première fois les terres variées de Long Island. Cependant, avant de quitter l’école, nous avons passé un moment intéressant dans un club appelé Math Olympiad, où nous avons fait des maths très difficiles!
